Roof repairs in Sydney after the big rains

The Australia day long weekend brought on the big rains in Eastern Australia and Sydney was quite lucky to escape the extreme rainfall predicted.

The rainst keep Sydney roofers busy

The rains keep Sydney roofers busy

But there was enough rain in Sydney over the weekend to cause all the roof leaks that had been lurking over the last few months of dry weather – to spring out.

Now, everyone in Sydney has a roof leak! and want their roofs repaired…  and I can’t cope!

While previously (in the dry period) , I would get about 5 or so roofing repair enquiries per day through this website, I have been getting up to forty per day over the last few days….

It is just too much to handle by myself – So, I have to say that I am sorry. I will not be able to get back to all of you who have rung or emailed me about their leaking roofs needing repair.

My normal day is split as follows:

  • Making sure that my current roofing jobs are well organised and my clients get the proper attention;
  • Any warranty on roof repairs and after sales issues are attended to;
  • and then going out to meet prospects and look at their roofing leaks so that I can provide a quote to repair or replace their roofs.

… This means that I would normally have time to do about 3 or 4 roof inspections per day.

So, you can see that if I get more than 5 roof repair inspections to do per day – it is pushing me to the limit. Give me 40 and I have to give up!

So, apologies again if I can’t get around to your leaking roofs. I just have to try my best and leave it at that…

    Update on 2nd March 2013
    Please do not ring – if you can help it
    I am completely flooded with requests to look at roof leaks at the moment and any new enquiries will take weeks to get to. My phones are NOW on a permanent message bank service.
    So, you can only leave messages for me and I will get back to you when I can…

    If you have a difficult roof repair problem in Sydney and you specifically want me to help you solve it…. then the best way is to contact me via the contact page or the contact box on the right. That way your roof repair request is registered properly in my email system and I can get back to you easier (usually late at night!).

    Thank you for your patience.

    Jack (the roofer)

    PS. if you want some idea about my lead times for roofing repair and replacement work and lead time for roof quotes and inspections go to my How soon before I can get my roof fixed page

    we have a concrete tiled roof that is leaking in one section. We also have paint coming off tiles, lichen and mold too – from previous owner’s “restoration” about 12 years ago. We need roof fixed and restored properly. We live in the Camden area ( post code 2570. actually, The oaks NSW).

      Hi Joe,

      My roofing repair business is based in Strathfield and most of my roof repair work is the Sydney west and inner west – although I do some roof repair work around other suburbs of Sydney when clients put in special requests.
      I am sorry, but Camden is a bit too far south of the Sydney metropolitan area for me. The cost of a roof repair there will be too much for us.
      I do not paint roofs – so I will not be of much use to you if you want that done anyway..

      Thanks,
      Jack

    UPDATE 11th March 2011.

    Sorry, there will be more roof inspection and quote delays until I get out of hospital. I had a bad bicycle racing accident yesterday and I am in Liverpool Hospital writing this comment. I have a broken neck and I will have to wait for the doctors to tell me what time I need to take off…..

    Please be patient if you don’t get any response from me for a while….I need to get my neck together first.

    Jack Yuen
